GoDaddy.com Bowl January 6, 2011 Mobile, AL 8:00 pm ESPN
Miami Univ. vs. Middle Tennessee Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) It's the MAC champion. Miami
University is an interesting watch with a decent
short passing game and an aggressive defense. 2)
Will Dwight Dasher be Dwight Dasher? The Middle
Tennessee quarterback was the star of the New
Orleans Bowl last year. 3) Between the two teams,
six of their last eight games were decided by
six points or fewer.
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
It's Miami University vs. Middle Tennessee. Last
year's GMAC Bowl, now the GoDaddy, was the best game
of the bowl season, but traditionally, this has been
the ugliest blowout of the lot.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:
1) DE Jamari Lattimore, Middle Tennessee, 2) WR Armand Robinson, Miami
University, 3) RB Phillip Tanner, Middle
Tennessee
Gut-Reaction Pick That Might Change In The Next Few Days On A Whim:
Miami University 26 ... Middle Tennessee 17
34.
R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl December 18, 2010 New Orleans, LA 9:00 pm ESPN
Troy vs. Ohio
Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) Troy has played two straight great
bowl games. The offense always puts on a show. 2)
Ohio's running game should go nuts against the Troy
defensive front. 3) Sun Belt vs. MAC. For those of
you who care, this is a bragging rights game for the
leagues.
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
Ohio is extremely boring. The offense is 94th in
the nation and doesn't throw. Troy might have won a
share of the Sun Belt title, but this isn't nearly
the same team of the last few years.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:
1)
QB Corey Robinson, Troy, 2) DB Donovan Fletcher,
Ohio, 3) WR/KR Jerrel Jernigan, Troy
Gut-Reaction Pick That Might Change In The Next Few Days On A Whim:
Troy 31 ... Ohio 20

Little Caesars Pizza Bowl December 26, 2010 Detroit, MI
ESPN
Toledo vs. Florida International
Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) It's FIU getting to a bowl game in
the biggest game in the program's history. It'll
bring the A effort. 2) Toledo might be the second
best team in the MAC. It's better than the champ,
Miami University. 3) Aggressiveness. Both defenses
are good at getting to the quarterback.
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
It's Florida International vs. Toledo. If this
was on an October Wednesday night you'd be playing
with the kids.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:
1)
WR/KR T.Y. Hilton, FIU, 2) WR/KR Eric Page, Toledo,
3) S Jonathan Cyprien, FIU
Gut-Reaction Pick That Might Change In The Next Few Days On A Whim:
Toledo 31 ... FIU 17

New Mexico Bowl December 18, 2010 Albuquerque, NM
BYU vs.
UTEP Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) Jake Heaps. The BYU freshman
quarterback was one of the nation's top recruits,
and this is the next step in the maturation process. 2)
It's UTEP's first bowl game since 2005. It's going
to care. 3) UTEP QB Trevor Vittatoe has the
experience and potential to come up with a great
final game.
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
UTEP isn't very good. It lost five of the last
six games of the year and doesn't have much
offensive pop. If BYU's defense rock's out of the
gate, this might not be close.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:
1)
RB J.J. Di Luigi, BYU, 2) WR Kris Adams, UTEP, 3) DE

BYU 34 ... UTEP 10

Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl December 30, 2010 San Diego, CA 7:00 pm ESPN
Nebraska vs. Washington
Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) Jake Locker. Can he make amends
for his disastrous first time around in the game? 2)
Can Nebraska come up with another dominant bowl
performance? A win would make the Huskers hot going
into the Big Ten. 3) This is Washington's first bowl
game since 2002
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
56-21. In Seattle. Locker completed 4-of-20
passes and three Huskers ran for over 100 yards.
This might be the dumbest bowl rematch ever.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:
1) QB Taylor Martinez, Nebraska, 2) RB Chris Polk, Washington, 3) LB
Lavonte Davis, Nebraska

Nebraska 45 ... Washington 10
30. uDrove Humanitarian Bowl
December 18, 2010 Boise, ID 5:30 pm ESPN
Fresno State vs. Northern Illinois
Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) The NIU running game really is
special, even if it didn't show it against Miami
University in the MAC Championship choke. 2) The
Fresno State defensive front is among the most
active and the most productive at getting into the
backfield as any in the nation. 3) It's a
sneaky-good matchup. NIU really is the MAC's best
team, while Fresno State has the explosiveness on
offense to make this an offensive show. The
Humanitarian Bowl has been among the most
competitive of all the bowls over the last several
years.
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
NIU might be down after the MAC championship and
with head coach Jerry Kill leaving for Minnesota.
Fresno State doesn't have a consistent attack.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:
1)
RB Chad Spann, NIU, 2) DE Chris Carter, Fresno
State, 3) RB Robbie Rouse, Fresno State
Gut-Reaction Pick That Might Change In The Next Few Days On A Whim:
Fresno State 27 ... Northern Illinois 20
29.
Bell Helicopters Armed Forces Bowl December 30, 2010 Fort Worth, TX 12:00 pm ESPN
SMU vs. Army
Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) 1996. That was the last time Army
was in a bowl game and it's going to always bring
the A effort. 2)
There should be a buzz. Between the Army factor and
the home crowd for SMU, this won't be an empty bowl. 3)
Both teams can play a little offense. It'll be an
interesting contrast in styles with the SMU passing
game vs. the Army ground attack.
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
The SMU run defense isn't bad, and Army can't
throw a lick. If SMU plays like it did in a blowout
Hawaii Bowl performance over Nevada last year, this
could be a big bowl of yuck.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:
1)
RB Zach Line, SMU, 2) FB Jared Hassin, Army, 3) QB
Kyle Padron, SMU
Gut-Reaction Pick That Might Change In The Next Few Days On A Whim:
SMU 31 ... Army 10
28. New Era Pinstripe Bowl December 30, 2010 New York, NY ESPN
Syracuse vs.
Kansas State Three Reasons To Watch
This Bowl: 1) It's a true cold weather, outside
game. I'll be the most unique bowl of the season. 2)
Syracuse is back in a bowl game for the first time
since.2004 and Kansas State is back in a bowl for
the first time since Bill Snyder took over. 3)
Daniel Thomas. For you NFL scout types, this will be
a great test for the Kansas State running back to
show he's a top 50 player.
And Why You Should Spend Your Time Roasting Your Chestnuts:
Syracuse doesn't score. The Orange has scored 26
points in the last three games and is 106th in the
nation in total offense.
Three Names To Drop That'll Make The Perky
Girl In Accounting Want To Take You Into The Storeroom During The Holiday Party For Smooches:

RB Delone Carter, Syracuse, 2) S Tysyn Hartman,
Kansas State, 3) LB Derrell

Syracuse 20 ... Kansas State 17
