Best Mountain West Game of the Season

Nov. 20  Utah 38 … at San Diego State 34
Ryan Lindley threw for 528 yards and four scores, but it wasn’t enough. Utah’s Greg Bird came up with a blocked punt to set up a one-yard Eddie Wide score for the lead, after Matt Asiata came up with a one-yard touchdown a few minutes earlier. The Aztec passing game kept working, but interceptions snuffed out final chances. Lindley connected with Vincent Brown on touchdown passes from ten and 11 yards in the first quarter and found him for a brilliant 90-yard play in the third, but Utah kept pushing. Wide ran for a 16-yard score in the second and Jordan Wynn came up with touchdown passes from 57 yards out to Luke Matthews and 47 yards away to Kendrick Moeai to stay alive, but the Utes didn’t get back on the board until the fourth quarter. The two teams combined for 1,087 yards and 16 penalties.
