Best Game of the Season

Oct. 2   Washington 32 … at USC 31
For the second year in a row, Erik Folk beat the Trojans with a kick. Folk nailed a 32-yard field goal as time ran out to complete the comeback. Jake Locker, who was knocked out of the game for a stretch, hit a key fourth down pass to keep the final drive alive, and in a bounceback game from the Nebraska disaster, he hit Devin Aguilar for a 44-yard touchdown pass. Folk hit three other field goals and Chris Polk added a one-yard run to keep up with USC and the running game that cranked out 298 yards and got two touchdown runs from both Allen Bradford and Marc Tyler. The Trojans had a chance to go up by five late, but Joe Houston’s 40-yard field goal attempt hit the upright leading to Locker’s game-winning drive. The Huskies outgained the Trojans 537 yards to 484.
