Special Teams

1. Louisiana-Lafayette PK Brett Baer missed an extra point and got another blocked, but he hit a 22-yard field goal along with the 50-yard game-winner. He also put three of his four punts – averaging 36.8 yards - inside the 20 including two at the one, in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl win over San Diego State.

2. Michigan State P Mike Sadler averaged 50.1 yards per kick on eight kicks putting four inside of the 20 in the Outback Bowl win over Georgia.

3. Purdue’s Raheem Mostert returned two kickoffs for 124 yards with a momentum-changing 99-yard score in the win over Western Michigan in the Little Caesars Bowl.

4. BYU P Riley Stephenson averaged 41.9 yards per kick putting seven of eight inside the 20 in the Armed Forces Bowl win over Tulsa.

5. Ohio P Paul Hershey averaged 50 yards on six kicks with three put inside the 20 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl win over Utah State.

6. North Carolina P Thomas Hibbard averaged 48.8 yards per kick putting three of his four attempts inside the 20 in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl loss to Missouri.

7. Southern Miss P Peter Boehme averaged 43.8 yards on eight kicks with five put inside the 20 in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl win over Nevada.

8. SMU Matt Stone averaged 45.4 yards per punt putting three of the five inside the 20 in the BBVA Compass Bowl win over Pitt.

9. Jeremy Shelley had seven field goal attempts, hitting from 23, 34, 41, 35, and 44 yards out, but he missed from 41, got a 42-yarder blocked, and missed an extra point in the BCS Championship win over LSU.

10. Georgia’s Brandon Boykin returned a punt 92 yards for a score and four kickoffs for 70 yards in the Outback Bowl loss to Michigan State.
