Baylor
Robert Griffin might be gone, but the offense kept on rolling with the ground game matching the passing attack in production. However, all eyes were on QB Nick Florence, who came through with a sharp performance completing 14-of-18 passes for 183 yards and three scores. While he’s going to be the star of the attack, Lache Seastrunk – the former Oregon prospect who was caught up in the Willie Lyles scandal – should add a terrific rushing element showing off his wheels on a 75-yard scoring dash. He won’t be alone, though with Jarred Salubi also having a nice performance and Glasco Martin ripping off some big runs.

Iowa State
Jared Barnett was the quarterback who led the Cyclones to the epic win over Oklahoma State and appeared to be the new playmaker who was going to carry the offense. However, Steele Jantz is front-and-center in the race for the starting job. Throw in the possibility of Sam Richardson after occasionally looking like the best option in the spring game, and the QB controversy be a storyline that won’t go away all summer.

Oklahoma
Yup, that’s what everyone wanted to see. FSN Oklahoma publisher Joey Helmer wrote in out Insider Spring Questions that WR Trey Metoyer was on the verge of becoming the next big thing, and the spring game didn’t disappoint with six catches for 72 yards. There are plenty of other strong receiving options, but it’s Metoyer who has easily been the standout of spring ball.
