Week 4 CFN Fearless Prediction & Game Previews – VMI at Navy

VMI (1-2) at Navy (0-2) Sept. 22, 3:30, CBS Sports Network

Here’s The Deal: Things haven’t quite started out as planned for a Navy team that was supposed to be more physical and a lot more effective after a tough offseason. Instead, it came out awful in a blowout loss to Notre Dame and was picked apart last week by Penn State. The turnaround needs to start here against a VMI team that’s been decent against the run overall, but is coming off an ugly loss to Richmond. The Keydets’ only win came against something called Chowan, but with the way Navy is playing, this might be a bit of a fight.

What Will Happen: Navy’s ground game will finally start to work. After running for 404 yards in the first two games, the Midshipmen will hit that mark in an effective win that will finally get the team on track.

CFN Prediction: Navy 37 … VMI 20
