Here’s The Deal: After getting blown away by James Madison and Arkansas-Pine Bluff by a combined score of 66-9, Alcorn State shouldn’t be anything more than a speedbump for an Arkansas State team got lit up by Nebraska through the air and way blown past by Oregon. The Gus Malzahn era hasn’t started out with a bang, but now is when everything is supposed to work before diving into Sun Belt play against Western Kentucky.

What Will Happen: The Red Wolves will finally start to look like they’re supposed to. The defense that has been such a problem finally doesn’t have to deal with a powerhouse attack, while the offense will be crisp and efficient.
