Week 10 MAC Fearless Predictions and Game Previews

@ColFootballNews

Eastern Michigan (1-7) at Ohio (7-1) Nov. 1, 6:00, ESPNU

Here’s The Deal: All of a sudden, the Ohio coronation to the MAC East title has become a dogfight. The Bobcats gagged late against Miami last week, and now have to fight with the RedHawks, Kent State and Bowling Green to get to the title. Can Eastern Michigan rise up and throw another curveball into the MAC race? The Eagles have yet to win a conference game thanks to a defense suffering from the worst run D in college football.

What Will Happen: Beau Blankenship will run for over 150 yards and Tyler Tettleton will be ultra-accurate with all day to throw as the Bobcats make up for last week’s mistakes by blowing the doors off the struggling Eagles.

CFN Prediction: Ohio 42 … Eastern Michigan 20
ATS Consultants Line (Click for more lines and picks) Ohio -16.5 O/U: 58
Must Watch Rating (5 – The Man With The Iron Fists, 1 – Election coverage until Tuesday morning): 1.5

Miami University (4-4) at Buffalo (1-7) Nov. 3, 12:00

What Will Happen: The Bulls can’t seem to come up with any breaks. They played well against Toledo, but they couldn’t get much more out of an offense that can’t come up with a passing game. Too many mistakes and turnovers will be a problem once again against a Miami passing game that’ll be efficient and effective coming off the big win over Ohio. The RedHawks will roll to set up the big game against Kent State next week.

CFN Prediction: Miami University 20 … Buffalo 17
ATS Consultants Line (Click for more lines and picks) Buffalo -3.5 O/U: 56
Must Watch Rating (5 – The Man With The Iron Fists, 1 – Election coverage until Tuesday morning): 1.5

Western Michigan (3-6) at Central Michigan (3-5) Nov. 3, 1:00, ESPN3

What Will Happen: Can Central Michigan build off the win over Akron? That’s asking for a bit much, but the passing game is just good enough and dangerous enough to keep up the pace with the high-powered Broncos. However, with no pass rush whatsoever to worry about, the WMU offense will roll at will in a wild shootout.

CFN Prediction: Western Michigan 45 … Central Michigan 38
ATS Consultants Line (Click for more lines and picks) WMU -2.5 O/U: 61.5
Must Watch Rating (5 – The Man With The Iron Fists, 1 – Election coverage until Tuesday morning): 2

Akron (1-8) at Kent State (7-1) Nov. 3, ESPN3

What Will Happen: Can Akron make up for its miserable season by knocking off the streaking Golden Flashes? The Kent State running game should be able to rumble at will, but the pass defense isn’t anything special and could have a few problems. No. 1 in the nation in turnover margin, Kent State will take advantage of several mistakes from a Zip attack that gives the ball away way too easily.

CFN Prediction: Kent State 38 … Akron 14
ATS Consultants Line (Click for more lines and picks) Kent State -19.5 O/U: 58
Must Watch Rating (5 – The Man With The Iron Fists, 1 – Election coverage until Tuesday morning): 1.5

Massachusetts (0-8) at Northern Illinois (8-1) Nov. 3, 3:30

What Will Happen: It’s best vs. worst as the loaded Huskies and their tremendous offense go through the motions to get to the Toledo date next week. NIU should be able to run the ball at will while the defensive front should be able to shut down the middling Minutemen attack cold. UMass has scored 21 points over the last three games, while NIU hasn’t scored fewer than 30 points since the opening week loss to Iowa.

CFN Prediction: Northern Illinois 48 … Massachusetts 7
ATS Consultants Line (Click for more lines and picks) Northern Illinois -35 O/U: 56.5
Must Watch Rating (5 – The Man With The Iron Fists, 1 – Election coverage until Tuesday morning): 1
