2013 CFN Preseason Player Rankings
Preview 2013 | Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Receivers
Tight Ends | Offensive Tackles | Offensive Guards | Centers

Defensive Ends | Defensive Tackles | Linebackers
Cornerbacks | Safeties | Punters | Placekickers | Returners

1. Kyle Christy, Jr. Florida
Christy is back after a special season, averaging a whopping 45.8 yards per kick with 27 put inside the 20. For a team that relies on field position and keeping teams pinned deep, he’s perfect. He’s great at bailing the team out of big jams with a huge leg.

2. Hunter Mullins, Jr. UAB
Mullins is working to improve on his debut as the regular averaging a robust 44.8 yards. At 6-3 and 195 pounds, he’s long and lean, with the leg whip to really drive the ball high into the air.

3. Richie Leone, Jr. Houston
Leone is second to Florida’s Kyle Christy among returning punters with a healthy 45.5-yard average in 2012. The First Team All-Conference USA selection will also showcase his leg strength as the kickoff specialist, nailing 25 touchbacks a year ago.

4. Will Monday, Soph. Duke
Monday was a Freshman All-American in 2012, leading the ACC with an average of 44.6 yards per boot. At 6-4 and 210 pounds, he gets excellent leg drive, and will become even more effective upon improving his directional kicks.

5. Ethan Perry, Soph. TCU
The punting game that struggled in 2011 got a boost in 2012 with Perry, a sophomore who averaged 44.5 yards per boot putting 19 inside the 20. He put too many in the end zone putting in ten, but he’s becoming a weapon.
