Wichita State Shockers
Head coach: Gregg Marshall Record: 34-0 Conference: Missouri Valley

What You Need To Know: One of the biggest stories of the college basketball season, the Shockers are on a historic winning streak with the ability to shut down teams with a suffocating defense, controlling the glass on both ends and protecting the rim when guards manage to get to the bucket. Wichita State's greatest strength is its depth. Cleanthony Early is a quality scorer who can drive to the rim, but he's great inside and out with the ability to knock down the open three on a regular basis. Ron Baker is a solid all-around guard who does a great job of moving his feet on defense, and Fred VanVleet is one of the best passers and most disruptive defenders around. The sophomore loves to run and is the Shockers' engine. Guard Tekele Cotton and forwards Darius Carter and Chadrack Lufile are all versatile, and Carter and Lufile use their big bodies to keep opponents off the boards.
