ACC

If No. 1 isn’t in College Football Playoff
Notre Dame is eligible for any ACC bowl tie-in as long as it’s within one game of the team eligible for the slot. However, if ACC is in the playoff, Notre Dame can't take the Orange Bowl spot.

2. Russell Athletic Bowl vs. Big 12 No. 3
3. Capital One Bowl vs. SEC (ACC in vs. SEC if the Orange Bowl takes a Big Ten team)

Second Tier
Belk Bowl vs. SEC
TaxSlayer Gator Bowl vs. SEC (ACC and Big Ten combine with each getting three appearances in six years) OR
Hyundai Sun Bowl vs. Pac-12
Music City Bowl vs. SEC (ACC and Big Ten combine with each getting three appearances in six years)
Pinstripe Bowl vs. Big Ten

Third Tier
Beef ‘O’Brady’s Bowl vs. American Athletic
