Player of the week

Arkansas RB Darren McFadden ran 32 times for 206 yards and three touchdowns, and completed three of six passes for 34 yards and a score in the 50-48 three-overtime win over LSU.

1. QB Tim Tebow, Soph. Florida
Tebow completed 25 of 34 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns with an interception, and ran 11 times for 31 yards and a touchdown, in the 59-20 win over Florida Atlantic.

2. QB Chase Daniel, Jr. Missouri
Daniel completed 40 of 49 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns in the 36-28 win over Kansas.

3. QB Pat White, Jr. West Virginia
White completed nine of 13 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown with an interception, and ran 16 times for 186 yards and two touchdowns, in the 66-21 win over Connecticut.

QB Colt Brennan, Sr. Hawaii
Brennan completed 40 of 53 passes for 495 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions, and ran nine times for 18 yards and a touchdown in the 39-27 win over Boise State.

RB Darren McFadden, Jr. Arkansas
McFadden ran 32 times for 206 yards and three touchdowns, and completed three of six passes for 34 yards and a score in the 50-48 three-overtime win over LSU.

QB Todd Reesing, Jr. Kansas
Reesing completed 28 of 49 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in the 36-28 loss to Missouri.

RB Kevin Smith, Sr UCF
Smith ran 46 times for 219 yards and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 30 yards in the 36-20 win over UTEP. In the game, Smith became the nation's leading rusher with 2,164 yards.

QB Erik Ainge, Sr. Tennessee
Ainge completed 28 of 45 passes for 397 yards and seven touchdowns with three interceptions in the 52-50 four-overtime win over Kentucky.


9. RB Matt Forte, Sr. Tulane

Forte ran 25 times for 129 yards and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 25 yards in the 35-21 win over East Carolina.
