Week 1
-
Florida State at Clemson
No longer just the Bowden Bowl, it’s become FSU vs. Clemson again with
major ACC title implications.
Week 2 -
Virginia Tech at LSU
This could very easily be the BCS Championship game. At the very least,
it’ll be a showdown of two of the nation’s best defenses. It’s such a
big game that it’ll put Miami vs. Oklahoma on the backburner.
Week 3 -
Boston College at Georgia Tech
Almost the ACC Championship game last season, it could be a preview of
the 2007 title game.
Week 4 -
Texas A&M at Miami
An interesting Thursday night game, the Randy Shannon era gets a
nationally televised showcase.
Week 5 -
Clemson at Georgia Tech
Florida State vs. Alabama is also this week, but Clemson vs. Georgia
Tech will play a big role in the ACC title race.
Week 6 -
Virginia Tech at Clemson
The first real ACC test for the Hokies, they could deal a big blow to
Clemson’s ACC title hopes.
Week 7 -
Georgia Tech at Miami
As good as
Virginia Tech is, the Yellow Jackets and Hurricanes can’t afford any
slip-ups in Coastal Division play.
Week 8 -
Miami at Florida State
Yeah, it doesn’t have anywhere near the luster anymore, but it’s still
Miami vs. Florida State.
Week 9 -
Boston College at Virginia Tech
A big-time Thursday night battle, BC needs to win with Florida State, at
Maryland and at Clemson to follow.
Week 10 -
Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech
A second straight Thursday night date for the Hokies, this will likely
determine the Coastal Division champion.
Week 11 –
Boston College at Maryland
While Florida State at Virginia Tech will get more national attention,
the battle between the Eagles and Terps will be bigger. This might be
Maryland’s Atlantic Division statement.
Week 12 -
Miami at Virginia Tech
The Big Easters will wage a defensive slugfest closing out a brutal four
game stretch for the Hokies (BC, at Georgia Tech, Florida State, Miami).
Week 13 - Florida State at Florida
Always among the big games of the year, Florida State needs to get some
of the mojo back in the Sunshine State recruiting wars.
