Week 1
-
San Jose
State at Arizona State
The Spartans can quickly prove that 2006 wasn’t a fluke. Head coach Dick
Tomey is familiar with playing at ASU from his days at Arizona.
Week 2 -
Boise State at Washington
How crazy has the college football world become? Washington will be
looking to beat Boise State to get respect.
Week 3 -
Wyoming at Boise State
Few teams gave Boise State a tougher time last year than Wyoming losing
a good 17-10 battle on a pick six.
Week 4 -
New Mexico State at Auburn
No, the Aggies won’t win, but it could be interesting since Auburn will
be looking ahead to the Florida game the following week.
Week 5 -
Southern Miss at Boise State
A very nice Thursday night statement game for two conferences searching
for respect, Southern Miss wants to be everyone’s mid-major darling
again.
Week 6
-
New Mexico State at Boise State
NMSU always has a puncher’s chance with its offense, and it should be
better than last year when it gave the Broncos a good run.
Week 7 -
Nevada at Boise State
A good pair of games getting a national spotlight, San Jose State goes
to Hawaii on Friday and Nevada travels to Boise for a Sunday night
battle.
Week 8 -
San Jose State at Fresno State
The loser is out of the WAC title race, and possibly out of the bowl
chase.
Week 9 -
New Mexico State at Hawai‘I (Boise State at Fresno State
Fri. Oct. 26)
The best weekend of games in the WAC season, Boise State’s Friday night
showdown at Fresno State will be overshadowed by the mother of all
shootouts as NMSU and Hawaii will likely combine for well over 900 yards
of passing offense.
Week 10 -
San Jose State at Boise State
The Spartans had them. They had the Broncos beaten up 20-12 late in the
fourth before Jared Zabransky and the boys pulled out the 23-20 win.
This year’s game should be just as good.
Week 11 -
Fresno State at Hawai‘i
Could Fresno State derail the Hawaii machine? The Warriors will likely
be unbeaten with the meat of the WAC schedule kicking in.
Week 12 -
Hawai‘i at Nevada
Possibly Hawaii’s biggest obstacle to a WAC title and maybe an unbeaten
season, this is its toughest road game of the year.
Week 13 -
Boise State at Hawai‘i
There’s a very, very, very good chance this could be a showdown between
the 11-0 Broncos and the 10-0 Warriors.
Week 14 - Fresno State at New Mexico State
Washington
at Hawaii could be interesting for BCS implications if Colt Brennan and
the boys are unbeaten, but Fresno State at New Mexico State will be big
for the WAC final pecking order.
