Player of the week

Appalachian State QB Armanti Edwards completed 17 of 23 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions and ran 17 times for 62 yards and a score in the 34-32 win over Michigan.

1. QB Colt Brennan, Sr. Hawaii
Brennan completed 34 of 40 passes for 416 yards and six touchdowns and led the Warriors with 23 yards on three carries in the 63-6 win over Northern Colorado.

RB Darren McFadden, Jr. Arkansas
McFadden ran 24 times for 151 yards and a touchdown, caught two passes for 30 yards, and completed one pass for a 42-yard score in the 46-26 win over Troy.

3. RB Steve Slaton, Jr. West Virginia
Slaton ran 16 times for 109 yards and three touchdowns and caught two passes for 61 yards and a score in the 62-24 win over Western Michigan.

4. QB Pat White, Jr. West Virginia
White completed ten of 18 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns and ran nine times for 97 yards and two scores in the 62-24 win over Western Michigan.

5. RB Ray Rice, Jr. Rutgers
Rice ran 25 times for 184 yards and three touchdowns in the 38-3 win over Buffalo.

6. RB Ian Johnson, Jr. Boise State
Johnson ran 18 times for 129 yards and three touchdowns in the 56-7 win over Weber State.

7. QB Brian Brohm, Sr. Louisville
Brohm completed 16 of 21 passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns and ran for a one-yard score in the 73-10 win over Murray State.

8. RB P.J. Hill, Soph. Wisconsin
Hill ran 21 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the 42-21 win over Washington State.

9. WR DeSean Jackson, Jr. California
Jackson caught four passes for 45 yards, ran once for 21 yards, and returned a punt 77 yards for a touchdown in the 45-31 win over Tennessee.

10. The Honorary Number Ten
Bowling Green QB Tyler Sheehan completed 34 of 51 passes for 388 yards and two touchdowns, caught a pass for a 24-yard touchdown, and threw for the game-winning two-point conversion to beat Minnesota 32-31 in overtime
