Week 1


Player of the week

Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford completed 19 of 25 passes for 205 yards and five touchdowns in the 51-13 win over Miami.

1. QB Colt Brennan, Sr. Hawaii
Brennan completed 43 of 61 passes for 548 yards and four touchdowns with an interception, and he ran for a score, in the 45-44 overtime win over Louisiana Tech.

Bradford completed 19 of 25 passes for 205 yards and five touchdowns in the 51-13 win over Miami.

3. QB Pat White, Jr. West Virginia
White completed
13 of 18 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns and ran 18 times for 125 yards and a score in the 48-23 win over Marshall.

4. RB Steve Slaton, Jr. West Virginia
Slaton ran 24 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for ten yards in the 48-23 win over Marshall.

RB Darren McFadden, Jr. Arkansas
McFadden ran 24 times for 151 yards and a touchdown, caught two passes for 30 yards, and completed one pass for a 42-yard score in the 46-26 win over Troy last week. He faced Alabama this week.

6. RB Ray Rice, Jr. Rutgers
Rice ran 37 times for 175 yards and two touchdowns in the 41-24 win over Navy.

7. RB P.J. Hill, Soph. Wisconsin
Hill ran 30 times for 147 yards in the 20-13 win over UNLV.


8. QB Brian Brohm, Sr. Louisville
Brohm completed 25 of 39 passes for 401 yards and five touchdowns in the 58-42 win over Middle Tennessee.

9. QB Tim Tebow, Soph. Florida
Tebow completed 18 of 25 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns and ran 17 times, for 93 yards and two touchdowns, in the 59-31 win over Troy.

10. The Honorary Number Ten
... North Texas QB Daniel Meager completed 46 of 64 passes for 601 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions in the 45-31 loss to SMU.
