What would've happened if Vince Hall and Virginia Tech played Missouri's schedule? What would've happened if West Virginia had to play Oklahoma's schedule? Here's a speculative look at what might have happened if the schedules, and the timing, had been different.

It's All About The Schedules

How the other top teams would've likely done with Mizzou's and WVU's schedules.

By Pete Fiutak

In this crazy season where anything and everything has happened, there is no certainty when it comes to speculating what might have happened. Here's an attempt to do it anyway.

What if Florida had Missouri's schedule? What if West Virginia had to play LSU's slate? To show that it really might be all about who you play, and when, here's what might have happened with a little flip-flopping.

A few
twists to keep in mind during the exercise ...
1) It’s about when and where a game is played. For example, West Virginia and Missouri might have been good enough to beat Tennessee at home early in the year, but on October 6th, when the Vols were sky-high at home in the dominant win over Georgia, the outcome would likely have been different.
2) South Florida at home against West Virginia was playing at an amped-up level. If most of these teams played the Bulls in November, they’d win. On September 28th on national TV, that likely would’ve been a different story.
3) Remember, these teams are in the BCS top 12 for a reason. Of course there would've been an upset or three along the way, but for the most part, these are the teams that avoided the mega-pitfalls and losing streaks.
