MAC
Player
of the Year
Dan LeFevour, QB Central Michigan
Not only is LeFevour the MAC Player of
Year, it's not even close. He led the
league in passing, even if he did throw
too many interceptions (13), mostly in
non-conference play, and was sixth in
rushing with 1,008 yards and 17
touchdowns. Oh yeah, and he led the
Chippewas to their second straight MAC
title and bowl game.
Defensive
Player of the Year -
Clayton Mullins, LB Miami University
Mullins grew into a strong all-around
linebacker and even more of a tackling
machine with a league-leading 143
tackles after coming up with 91 last
year. With his excellent speed and
quickness, he was able to get into the
backfield a bit with four sacks and 16
tackles for loss while also growing into
an improved pass defender.
