WAC Player of the Year

Colt Brennan, QB Hawaii
Brennan didn't have the same statistical season he had in 2006, but he was better, especially in the money time. He fought through injuries and inconsistencies early on pulling out tough overtime wins over Louisiana Tech and San Jose State, and then when the spotlight was on, he came through with the two most important performances of his fantastic career completing 40 of 53 passes for 495 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions in the win over Boise State, and 42 of 50 passes for 442 yards and five touchdowns in the win over Washington to seal a perfect regular season.

Defensive Player of the Year - David Vobora, LB Idaho
There were several worth candidates for the WAC Defensive Player of the Year, but none did more than Vobora, the WAC's leading tackler and the star of the not-that-bad Vandal run defense. He had double-digit tackles in every WAC game highlighted by a stunning 14-solo stop game against Louisiana Tech. While he didn't do much to get into the backfield, he was a big, hard-hitter who set the tone time and again, and consistently, for the Idaho D.
