QB
16 Carson Williams, 6-3, 212, Jr.
Position Spotlight: This is a weird
situation. Are the Knights going to run the option or are they going
to stick with a mish-mosh of styles? Can Williams run or is he a
square peg for a round hole? No matter what the direction the
offense goes, star option recruit Paul McIntosh could be the savior
this fall while Chip Bowden will push Williams for time.

FB 36 Eric Kettani, 6-1, 233
WR 89 Tyree Barnes, 6-2, 188, Sr.
WR 84 T.J. Thiel, 6-0, 192, Sr.
Position Spotlight:
Wait, Navy doesn't throw? Who cares about the receivers? While
that's true to a point, the offense has always come up with big
plays here and there to keep defenses honest. But now, there aren't
any targets who can't be erased by any mid-level defensive back.
With Greg Sudderth not getting shot down by the NCAA in his appeal
for another year, Thiel has to emerge as a real, live producer. He
doesn't have to do much, but he needs to make a big grab a game.

OG 72 Anthony Gaskins, 6-1, 281, Sr.
C 68 Ricky Moore, 6-4, 283, Sr.

WR 11
David Grimes, 5-10, 175, Sr.
TE 83 Mike Ragone, 6-5, 241, So.
OT 72
Paul Duncan, 6-7 308, Sr.
Position Spotlight: Much has been
made about the miserable Irish O line, and for good reason. The
skill players didn't provide much in the way of help, but they never
had a chance behind a line that got the quarterbacks crushed and did
nothing for the running game. Four starters return, led by Sam
Young, and now Duncan has to prove he can play. Opposing speed
rushers can't be licking their chops like they did last year.
