2008 Preseason All-Mountain West Offense

Preseason Offensive Player of the Year
QB Max Hall, BYU
A bit underappreciated, all Hall did was lead all sophomores in passing yards while turning in an efficient, effective first year after transferring from Arizona State. Now that he has a year of experience, a strong line in front of him, and a veteran receiving corps to work around, the sky's the limit. While not all that big at 6-1 and 201 pounds, and with a decent, but not special arm, the nephew of former NFL star Danny White is an accurate, effective passer who completed 60% of his throws for 3,848 yards and 26 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. No longer a well kept secret, the junior will be on everyone's radar.

2008 Preseason All-MWest Defense

Preseason Defensive Player of the Year
DE Jan Jorgensen, BYU
One of the nation's best all-around defensive linemen, Jorgensen is like a tackle against the run while making the most noise as a speed rusher. With all the attention and all the hype, he'll be the focus of every blocking scheme and every opposing offensive gameplan, but he's good enough to handle the workload.
