Of The 2008/2009 Bowl Season
1. Colorado State RB Gartrell Johnson ran
27 times for 285 yards and two touchdowns, and he led the team in
receiving with five catches for 90 yards, in the 40-35 win over Fresno
State in the New Mexico Bowl. He averaged 10.6 yards per carry.
2. Oregon State DE Victor Butler made 11
tackles, four sacks, five tackles for loss, and forced and recovered a
fumble in the Sun Bowl win over Pitt.
3. Missouri LB Sean Weatherspoon made 17
tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, broke up a pass, and made
two quarterback hurries in the 30-23 overtime win over Northwestern in
the Alamo Bowl.
4. USC QB Mark Sanchez completed 28-of-35
passes for 413 yards and four touchdowns and he ran seven times for 16
yards and a score in the Rose Bowl win over Penn State.
5. Texas QB Colt McCoy completed 41-of-59
passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns with an interception, and he ran
seven times for 27 yards and a score in the Fiesta Bowl win over Ohio
State.
6. West Virginia QB Pat White completed
26-of-32 passes for 332 yards and three touchdowns with an interception
in the 31-30 win over North Carolina in the Meienke Car Care Bowl.
7. Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen completed 22-of-26 passes for 401 yards
and five touchdowns in the Hawaii Bowl win over Hawaii.
8. Utah LB Stevenson Sylvester made seven
tackles, three sacks, and recovered a fumble in the Sugar Bowl win over
Alabama.
9. Connecticut RB Donald Brown ran 29 times
for 261 yards and a touchdown in the International Bowl win over
Buffalo.
10. Kansas WR Dezmon Briscoe caught 14 passes
for 201 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Minnesota in the
Insight Bowl.

passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns in the Sugar Bowl win over

to the winning score in the 24-17 win over Miami in the Emerald Bowl.

passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions and ran
22 times for 109 yards.
16. Louisiana Tech LB Weldon Brown led all defensive players with 14
tackles with an interception and a fumble recovery in the Independence
Bowl win over Northern Illinois.
17. Kentucky DT Myron Pryor made seven
tackles, a sack, and forced the fumble that led to the game-winning
score in the Liberty Bowl win over East Carolina.
18. Oregon QB Jeremiah Masoli completed
18-of-32 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown with an interception, and
he ran 16 times for 106 yards and three touchdowns in the Holiday Bowl
win over Oklahoma State.
19. Iowa RB Shonn Greene ran 29 times for 121
yards and three touchdowns in the Outback Bowl win over South Carolina.
20. Texas WR Quan Cosby caught 14 passes for
171 yards and a touchdown in the Fiesta Bowl win over Ohio State.

passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns, led the team with 72 rushing
yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, and caught a pass for 13 yards and
a score in the Texas Bowl win over Western Michigan.

punts with four put inside the 20 and two at the one in the Champs
