2008 CFN SEC Player of the Year

Tim Tebow, QB Florida
All Superman did was finish third in the Heisman, throw for 30 touchdowns with just four interceptions, and run for 673 yards and 12 touchdowns. Oh yeah, and he led the way to the national title. While the big speeches and fiery attitude might be overblown, there's no denying his ability to come up with the big plays when needed to pull out the big games ... which was the knock early in his career. He'll be back for one more year to try to lay claim to possibly being the greatest player of all-time.

Defensive Player of the Year - Peria Jerry, DT Ole Miss
The leader of the SEC's best defensive line, Jerry was a steady, unstoppable force into the backfield with the quickness to move to the end if needed. It was a great year for individual defensive talents, but it was Jerry who stood out with his steady play, drive-killing stops, and ability to occupy blockers in the middle. He was able to do it all.
