Wildcats Coach Honored With A Truck Series
It doesn’t get much bigger than this, having a truck line named after you.

Lexington, KY – It doesn’t get much bigger than this, having a truck line named after you.
But that is exactly what has happened to Kentucky’s Rich Brooks.
The Wildcats coach has been honored with the newly named, “Brooks Edition Ford F-150 Crew Cab Pickup.”
Toughness and success come to mind when thinking of Kentucky Coach Rich. Those terms also describe the Ford F-150 Truck, named the 2009 Motor Trend Truck of the Year.
Paul Miller Ford has brought them together in the release of the exclusive 2009 Rich Brooks Edition F-150 Crew Cab Truck, the Lexington dealership has announced. The Brooks Edition Truck will be made available for purchase on 1/23/2009, a date which pays tribute to Kentucky’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bowl wins under Brooks.
The last time Kentucky won three bowl games in a row were in 1950, 51, 52 under Paul “Bear” Bryant. Under Brooks’ guidance, the Wildcats own all three of Tennessee’s Bowl sanctioned trophies in a row.
Two back to back Music City Bowl wins in 06, 07 and The Liberty Bowl in 2008. Brooks says, now, “If I can just get that win in Knoxville, I’ll own the state of Tennessee!”
Many have forgotten that it was Brooks, whose last major collegiate achievement was making Oregon into a nationally recognized team.
Folks in Big Blue Country say, "it is only beginning to take shape in Kentucky," says spokesman Tony Neeley.
Brooks showed his toughness in building a football program which won bowl games in three consecutive seasons, the first time in Kentucky history that the feat has been accomplished in the modern era.
The Brooks F-150 truck package includes: Customized paint scheme of true blue, black and silver, a Retax tailgate cover, Rich Brooks signature decals on doors and tailgate, 22-inch custom chrome wheels and tires, Tinted windows, Dual exhaust, T-Off spray-in bed liner, an Enhanced mobile satellite TV system and Microsoft SYN.
Fans are invited to see the truck featured on its own Web site, Brooks F150.
