The News Stories You Need To Know ... May 26

* Many Kansas State donors are reportedly so upset by
the secret agreement to pay Ron Prince over $3 million that they're
refusing to donate any more money to the school. Considering what this
fanbase had already endured before the Bill Snyder era, they must REALLY
be frustrated.
* LSU coach Les Miles said, "I like the position we're
in. Certainly there's work to do over the summer, but it appears to me
that we've got a quarterback in place. We think we're in a good position
to make a run at it." Make a run at it? He obviously hasn't gotten the
memo about the repeat coronation of the Florida Gatebows.
* Notre Dame fullback Asaph Schwapp, who signed with
the Dallas Cowboys last month, was arrested at Love Field on charges of
carrying a prohibited weapon. Been a while since we last heard a Notre
Dame offensive player and "weapon" in the same sentence.
