The attrition list since Gene Chizik was hired as Auburn’s replacement for Tommy Tuberville has risen to seven players leaving the Tiger program.

Confirmed late Thursday, finds DB-LB Marcus Jamison, DT JoMarcus Savage and DB Christian Thompson are no longer with the football program.

Chizik is reported out of town on vacation, no reason was given for the three players departures. Noted, that they were not tabed as starters heading into the season, does draw some concern looking at the depth charts.

Preseason or regular season injuries are always a top concern that’s elevated this late in the year. In January Raven Gray and Ryan Williams were granted transfers, WR Chris Slaughter and LB Tray Blackmon also left the program.

West Virginia Game Time Set

Auburns guest for September 19th in West Virginia, will be a 7:45 PM EST broadcast by ESPN. The network has told school officials the outcomes of the previous week of games, will dictate an ESPN2 or ESPN broadcast.

Auburn took an early 17-3 lead in Morgantown last season, that saw West Virginia answer with 31 straight points to take the series first victory between the schools.
