Off season summer conditioning drills have sidelined a second player for the 2009 season and puts a third player out for fall preseason camp.
WR Austin Rogers and WR Denarius Moore have been hit with the injury label in Knoxville. Rogers tore his ACL last week, and will miss season noted Dr. Jason McVeigh on Tuesday.
Rogers, who is from Nashville injured his right knee last week and requires surgical reconstruction sometime in the next 1-2 weeks. He is a fifth year senior who has not said if he will opt to apply for a 6th season with the NCAA.
Rogers was the team’s leading in receiving in 2007, but fell out of the game plan in last year’s offensive attack under former coaches Phillip Fulmer and Dave Clawson.
WR Denarius Moore has a broken bone in his left foot and is expected miss most all of preseason drilling in August. The fleet footed Moore is the teams only returning deep threat receiver who averaged 24.6 yards per catch in 08.
Moore is expected to be out of the lineup for the next twelve weeks.
