< br> Alabamasophomore defensive end/linebacker Marcel Dareus. Bama’s sack leader will be a focus this week, as LSU has had trouble protecting the passer this year.

Arkansassophomore running back Broderick Green. The Razorback powerback could be in for a big game against South Carolina after watching how Tennessee battered the Gamecock D last week with the running game.

Auburnsenior quarterback Chris Todd. Furman is obviously a gimme game for Auburn, but Georgia and Alabama follow and can make the difference between a decent and a great season for Gene Chizik. Todd will be key in those games, and he needs to start regaining his September form this week.

Florida…senior quarterback Tim Tebow. This final month will determine whether Tim Tebow is a two-time Heisman winner, or two-time finalist. Vanderbilt will be a chance for him to begin putting up some 2007-esque stats.

Georgia…senior quarterback Joe Cox. Quarterbacks finding their way back to quality play is the theme of the week it seems. And none in the league need that more than Georgia’s Ginger Ninja.

Kentuckysenior linebacker Micah Johnson. There are a number of linebackers playing first-rate football this season, and Johnson will probably get left out when the postseason honors get handed out. But he’s still a player to watch and Eastern Kentucky will be a team to show that against.

LSU …junior linebacker Kelvin Sheppard. He’s had 13 tackles in each of the last three games for the Tigers, and now leads the team with 7.5 tackles for a loss. He’ll have his work cut out for him against Alabama’s Mark Ingram this week, and he’ll need to bring his A game for LSU to come home victorious.

Ole Misssenior receiver Dexter McCluster. With his second-straight game over 150 rushing yards, this Wild Rebel is quickly becoming the only thing worth watching in Ole Miss’ disappointing 2009.

South Carolina…senior linebacker Eric Norwood . Conference’s sack leader will have his work cut out for him this week against 250-pound Ryan Mallett.

Tennessee…junior defensive end Chris Walker. The Volunteers’ best pass-rusher will have an opportunity to pad his stats against Memphis.

Vanderbilt...senior cornerback Myron Lewis. He’s probably the only player on the Vanderbilt roster that could probably hang with the Gators this week.

Off this week…Mississippi State.
