Georgia Tech 39 … Clemson 34
Georgia Tech overcame a Heisman-caliber game from C.J. Spiller, who scored from three, 41, 36 and nine yards out and ran for 233 yards, with a 13-play, 86-yard drive in the final minutes culminating with a 15-yard Jonathan Dwyer scoring run for the win. The Yellow Jacket defense that struggled all game long came up with a final stop to save the win. Dwyer also ran for a four-yard touchdown and Josh Nesbitt ran for a 13-yard score, but the big blow for the Yellow Jackets came on a 70-yard touchdown catch from Demaryius Thomas late in the third for a ten-point lead. But Clemson, thanks to Spiller, roared back with two long drives finishing with two short touchdown runs to take the one-point lead before the final Yellow Jacket drive. Both Dwyer and Nesbitt each ran for more than 100 yards, while Clemson DT DaQuan Bowers finished with a team-high 11 tackles with a tackle for loss.
