In a wild and crazy game, Pitt blew a 21 point lead as Cincinnati went on a 1:03 scoring drive culminating with a 29-yard Armon Binns touchdown catch, followed up by the extra point, to take the lead for good. Pitt had taken the lead on a five-yard Dion Lewis scoring run with 1:36 to play, but the conversion was botched opening the door for the Bearcats. Up by three touchdowns in the first half after a three-yard Bill Stull touchdown run, but Mardy Gilyard answered with a 99-yard kickoff return for a score late in the first half and came up with a 68-yard touchdown catch in the third. Lewis, who carried the ball 47 times for 194 yards with touchdown runs from four, 15, and five yards out.
