The tough and complicated processes involved with deciphering many complicated mathematic formulas used to predict the upcoming season on Rocky Top is a mind-bending event.

A new piece of information that will be released today is 14 freshmen will be listed two deep on the Volunteers opening day roster. It finds gauging any success is extremely complicated that much more.

Final sports news entity discussions took place last Thursday night at the last pre-season media gathering to answer the burning question.

Amid the slicing of steak knives and inhaled cheesecake, found one harmonious sentiment. If they can survive September and October, November should exponentially get easier.

The orange clad fan base had decided way back in early June what their opinionated projections were via their many message board discussions.

Derek Dooley has done his very best to offer leak no disseminating information upon the team’s immediate game plans.

Unlike last season, there are no practice reports to offer any insight or some red flag suspense as to what one might expect.

Trade marking secrecy is nothing new on the hill. In today’s world of instantaneous review, the trendy fashion has been stifled.

Facing five Top 25 conference teams in the seasons first seven weeks is nothing to sneeze at when looking at the Vols best chance scenarios.

Still many believe that there is a suspected chance that Tennessee will come away with at least two nice wins out of those games – barring a rash of hampering injuries.

It is a bitter pill to swallow realizing the Vols past stature would have dictated a one-loss scenario in better days. Yet, that’s not the case in 2010.

The last 9 months have been horrifying for any fan base to witness.

NCAA investigations are currently following up former head coach Lane Kiffin’s recruiting tactics dating back to Hostess-Gate last season.

The turmoil associated with the coaching change that left the campus littered with students teetering on visits to a nearby Lakeshore, were witnessed.

The one rectifying ingredient to kick off the season would be a royal thumping of the visiting UT – Skyhawks from in state Martin.

The team sporting the UT on the side of their helmet needs to be hammered relentlessly by the team wearing the bolded T. Noting that it is a pay to play game for Martin.

Surpassing the 63-7 mark over WKU that led the SEC’s scoring in 2009 would be a nice step towards a predicted 6-6 final season outcome.

Unlike others that claim to make reserved judgment to change their prediction, I will live or die with my prediction. It’s kind of like the weather, sometimes it is right and occasionally the wind blows differently.

With six wins the Vols would be seeking a bowl trip. The extra practice time that goes along with a post-season trip would greatly help the young team in recruiting.

It is a whole different attitude in 2010.
